Mokapu Beach

  • This beach is located in Wailea and a very popular spot for photography.

Lava rocks, palm trees and a sandy shore are available at this location.

  • This beach is a popular beach for beach goers. Despite the example we have, the spot we were able to snag was a rare spot that is available.

If the swells are high this beach is hard to use.

Not recommend for mornings as the parking lot gate will be closed for most sunrise. Sunrise available here between November-March.

Palauea Beach a.k.a. White Rock

  • This beach is located in Wailea and a popular spot for photography. Lava rocks, palm trees and a sandy shore are available at this location. Good for mornings or sunset.

  • This beach has limited roadside parking and always has a handful of photographers using the area, especially for sunset. This beach also doesn’t really have any shade, so the later sessions will be hot.

  • This beach is located in Makena, just past Wailea. Lava rocks and a sandy shore are available at this location. Good for either morning or sunset.

  • This beach is located within walking distance of a resort and usually busy with beach goers in the evening.

The spot with the lava rocks is limit and we recommend the Paradise Package (60 minutes) if interested in using this location.

West Maui

Kapalua Bay

  • This beach is located in Kapalua right between Merriman’s and the Montage. Either end of the bay provides a tropical look to the images with palm trees, rocks, and a sandy shore. Good for either morning or sunset.

  • Each end of the beach will usually have beachgoers using the spot for sunset. We will have to either tuck between them or wait until people start to leave the beach to move around.

D.T. Flemings

  • This location is a popular location for photoshoots on Maui. D.T. Flemings is located just past the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua.

Good for either morning or sunset this beach offers a long sandy shore, pine and limited palm tree for greenery and a large cliff-type rock outcropping.

  • Sunsets will be busy at this location. This area is located on the tip of West Maui and is usually very windy.

The beach itself is very popular so expect a crowd, especially at sunset.

This location offers a beautiful view of Moloka’i, but the large rock outcropping blocks the actually sunset from being in the images.

Honolua

  • This location is a very popular location for photography in West Maui. (Also a popular snorkel spot.)

Our permits are to cover anywhere within the immediate forest/jungle the location provides. Best during the midday, so that the lighting can penetrate through the tree to offer that “enchanted forest” look.

  • The location is a very popular location and the crowds will congregate here. Expect to wait for people to walk by and to have “an audience” for the photoshoot.

Parking is extremely limited and the location has little-to-no service.

Northshore Maui

Ku’au Cove

  • This beach is location right in front of Maui’s famous Mama’s Fish House. This shoreline is quaint and offers palm trees and rocks in the surrounding area. (If we are lucky the occasional turtle may show up, too!)

Ideal for mornings sessions or for clients who are staying that the Mama’s Fish House Inn.

  • Sunsets here aren’t as ideal as the sun will be setting isn’t visible from this cove. Parking is also very limited when the restaurant is open for business and the shore itself is busy with patrons waiting for their table making it harder to comfortably capture what we are looking for.

Only if clients have a reservation at Mama’s is when we will consider doing a session later in the day here.
